This policy explains, in plain language, what data Episodary collects, why we collect it, how we store it, and what your rights are. Our principle is simple: collect as little as possible, never lock anyone in, and keep everything exportable and deletable. That's the lesson the end of TV Time taught us.
Who is responsible

What data we collect
- Your email address, when you provide it to receive the migration walkthrough and launch updates.
- Your TV Time export file (ZIP), when you choose to upload it for us to hold safely until import.
- Minimal technical data for abuse prevention (for example, an anti-bot identifier from Cloudflare Turnstile and a hashed value derived from your IP address). We do not store your IP in plain text.
Minimization: what we do NOT do with your file
Your TV Time export may contain sensitive information that is of no interest to us (such as credentials and account identifiers). We do not open or read those parts when we receive your file: it sits in storage, untouched, until you start the import. When we import, we process only what's needed to rebuild your story (shows, movies, episodes, dates, ratings, and lists) and ignore the rest. We're also working toward a step where this filtering happens in your own browser, before anything is uploaded.
How we use it
- To safely store your history for the migration from TV Time;
- To send you the export walkthrough and let you know when importing is available;
- To prevent abuse and keep the service running.
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (LGPD, Art. 7, I; GDPR, Art. 6(1)(a)), collected explicitly before you submit your email or your file. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Where and how we store it
We use Supabase as our database and storage infrastructure, and Cloudflare for hosting and anti-bot protection. Your export file is kept in private storage, encrypted at rest, with no public access. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
We share data only with the providers required to operate the service (Supabase and Cloudflare, acting as processors). Show and movie metadata (posters, titles, episodes) comes from sources like TMDB and TheTVDB; that data contains no information about you.
Retention
We keep your email for as long as you want to hear from us. Your export file is kept only as long as needed for the migration and is deleted at your request or after a short period if the import isn't completed.
Your rights
Under the LGPD and the GDPR, you can at any time: access your data, correct it, delete it, export it (portability), and withdraw your consent. Just write to contact@episodary.com — no hoops to jump through.
Cookies and analytics
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the page — heatmaps and aggregate navigation metrics — so we can improve the experience. Clarity may record interactions in anonymized/masked form, in accordance with Microsoft's policy. We also use the bare minimum required for the site to work and for Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot protection. We do not use ad tracking, and we do not sell your data.
Children
Episodary is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their data, write to contact@episodary.com and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Meaningful changes will be announced on this page, with the effective date updated at the top.

Episodary is not affiliated with TV Time or Whip Media. "TV Time" is a trademark of its respective owners — we simply help you bring your data to a new home.
